maintenance
We recommend that surface of instrument is wiped with a microfiber cloth after each time it has been handled.
---
When instrument is clean and dry, protective oil (optional) can be gently rubbed into the steel.
Make sure not to press on notes, use small amount and remove any excess.
With time, however, a buildup can occur and it might affect the sound of your instrument.
---
Once in a while we suggest to clean surface of instrument with an alcohol solution -
to remove any build-up and to prevent rusting.
---
Always use an appropriate case for transportation and do not leave your instrument unattended between performances.
---
Do not store your instrument in closed bag overnight and for prolonged periods -
it can trap moisture and advance corrosion.
Also prolonged storage in closed case can affect glue quality and sound.
If you have to keep it in a bag - make sure that bag is not completely closed and some air flow is allowed.
---
Service it regularly, keep it dry and wipe it off after each and every handling.
Avoid harsh temperature changes and damage like dropping, excessive banging or
applying pressure on playing surface.
